Google Firefox Builds - Especially For Google
Google November 18th, 2006 - By Haochi
It’s known that Google has a good relationship with Firefox - hire Firefox developer to continue their work, pay people to promote Firefox(AdSense), blah blah… One thing I didn’t know that there’s list of versions of Firefox in Mozilla’s FTP under Partner->Google.
I am not sure what are the differences between the original-recipe Firefox and the Google-taste Firefox, and I am not going to install it now, but I will test somewhere else today. I guess that it has Google Toolbar installed, and perhaps other Google Extension for Firefox as well.
UPDATE: Pau Tomàssaid said in the comment, “Nothing too different to the usual Firefox. It just adds a new extension that sets some Firefox configuration values to Google.” Thanks!
{thanks Jason and Pau!}

Nothing too different to the usual Firefox. It just adds a new extension that sets some Firefox configuration values to Google. For example the default search engine, the homepage… it probably also installs the Google Toolbar (as it sets the welcom URL to http://tools.google.com/firefox/fftb) but I’m in Windows98 so I can’t really tell.
