More Upgrade Options for Picasa Web
Google November 18th, 2006 - By HaochiGoogle’s Picasa Web Albums now offers more plans for users to upgrade, which has only one upgrade option - $25 per year for an addition of 6GB. The new plans are:
- 25GB ($100 per year)
- 100GB ($300 per year)
- 250GB ($500 per year)
The new plans may seem to much for just uploading pictures, but don’t forget, users with upgraded accounts can upload videos. :DI like how Google tells users that “You can always use your free Picasa Web Albums account without upgrading“. By the way, on the upgrade page, Google says “No complicated monthly bandwidth limits to keep track of”, does it mean something special to you? It does to me.
On a side note, Picasa Web Albums now in 18 additional languages: English (UK), Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Taiwanese, and Turkish.

And when I click on your link “Update Storage“, I’m redirected to the settings page. I can’t upgrade my account.

I can still see the upgrade options… Here’s the screenshot.
As for the “more language”, I got the same thing, disabled menu, and my picasa is “Up-to-date”.

“At this time, you must have a United States billing address to purchase additional storage. Users outside the United States may not see the link to upgrade their storage.”
