Google Docs Mobile Coming?
Office September 10th, 2007 - By Haochi
Stevel Rubel twittered that a mobile version of Google Docs might be coming,
Google Docs is readying a mobile version. Try opening a Google doc on the iPhone. There are links at the bottom to http://docs.google.com/m
I don’t have an iPhone so I can’t test it out, and the link returns a 404 status code on my Firefox browser.
[thanks Steve]

i can confirm it. using firefox and the “User Agent Switcher” Addons with User Agent: “Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU like Mac OS X; en) AppleWebKit/420+ (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.0 Mobile/1A543a Safari/419.3″ (iPhone) Google docs shows another user interface. Go directly to http://docs.google.com without /m

And another evidence for the upcoming Gphone.

It does not seem to work using Pocket Internet Explorer and Windows Mobile. Not that I expected it to, but it would have been nice.

I tried it on my Blackberry Pearl just for kicks… no luck there either. Man… I hope it is not just for the iPhone. I’m getting sick of applications being developed only for the iPhone. :( Maybe I’ll just have to hope for a gPhone. :)

@Tony
Hmm, somehow I missed that… :-/
@flu
Yeah, with the iPhone agent I am seeing a page with broken links. I think I might did something wrong with the UASwitcher.
@T-Man
Too early to say so…

google docs is great, but if they won’t let it work with windows mobile, then i won’t be using it. i’ve already moved all of my google docs to regular ms office docs that sync between my phone and computer (save for one or two)
