Where on Google Maps is Blurred Out?
Censorship, Earth, Maps April 12th, 2007 - By HaochiWikipedia has an interesting page that lists the places that are blurred out on Google Maps/Earth. Some of the places are censored because requested by a government. Some are for security purpose, such as to protect military bases, nuclear power plants and places like the U.S. Vice President Mansion, as shown above.

Interesting. I didn’t realize the big white spaces were areas being blotted out. There doesn’t seem to be a standard way to blur out an area. Some are blurred out, some are pixelized, some are blacked out and some are whited out.
