YouTube will be launching the YouTube 2007 Video Award today to recognized last year’s original and creative videos that were uploaded last year. The categories of the awards are:

• Best Comedy Video - They had us in stitches…
• Best Commentary - The bloggers who caught our attention.
• Best Music Video - Celebrating YouTube’s home-grown musical talent.
• Best Series - The best in serial entertainment, aka the “I-can’t-wait-for-the-next-video” award.
• Most Adorable Video - So cute it hurts!
• Most Creative - Innovative and cutting-edge concepts…
• Most Inspirational - Things that make you think or feel.

Each award has 10 nominees. The nominees list will be familiar to you even if you only spend a few hours there a week, including, Ask A Ninja series, Lonelygirl15 series, the Free Hugs Campaign, and Hyperactive. Ahh, Will It Blend is also on the list for Best Series.

Winners will be announced on March 25th and each will receive a trophy to honor their achievement.

Voting starts today at around 2PM Pacific Time. Remember to cast your vote because EVERY vote counts!
