SketchUp now has its own blog! The new blog is aimed to provide SketchUp users more up-to-date information than their traditional monthly email newsletter, SketchUpdate. It will include pictures, videos, and links to interesting models in the 3D Warehouse, and other things that the readers might be interested in. Also, notes from developer, case studies, tips and tricks from trainers will also be shared through the blog.

Note: Comments are allowed in the SketchUpdate Blog.

Google Online Security Blog

Blog, Google

google online security map

Google launched another new blog today called the Google Online Security Blog, which will be the place where Google will be posting about - lol, as it’s name suggested - “The latest news and insights from Google on security and safety on the Internet.”

The above map shows location of compromised web sites, with majority of the malware activities going on in China, the U.S., Germany and Russia. The data are from the analysis of the 12 million suspicious URLs that Google has investigated so far from their index of URLs.

I think I am safe… Err… Probably. :)

Another new member to the ever-growing official Google blogs list - Google Lat Long Blog. Based on the name, you can pretty much guess that the blog is about the new development of Maps, Earth and how E.T. take over this planet. (I made the last one up)

In case you don’t know, the Official Google Australia Blog and the Inside AdWords Japan edition has been around for a while.

UPDATE: Forgot to mention that Google Earth 4.1 is now available, check out this post on Ogle Earth to see what has been updated.

Blog, Checkout, Oops

google checkout weird result hibidder

Starting earlier today, when you search “Google Checkout” on Google, the first result is titled “use google checkout on hibidder com free“. A bit weird, don’t you think? (from the normal “Google Checkout”) Well, this is where Danny Sullivan comes in and explains to you what’s going on

Also, Ionut spotted some really random suggestion errors on Google Blog Search…
