GDrive, Office

TechCrunch announced that Google is going to be at TechCrunch40, where “forty of the hottest new startups from around the world will announce and demo their products over a two day period (September 17-18) at TechCrunch40.” Google will also be presenting (though they are not a “startup”)  “in front of the main crowd”, says TechCrunch.

Google already missed the chance to launch Google Presentation at the Office 2.0 Conference last week, as Inside Google pointed out, so I think Google is very likely to announce the new product there, to fulfill its promise of launching Google Presentation in the summer (ends on the 23th). And possibly Google Drive as well, with all these events going on lately.

Well, we will see. :)

GDrive is Here, Almost

You just have to love Tony Ruscoe, he keep discover amazing things with his incredible Google-digging mad skillz. By changing the value of the service parameter in Google Apps to “www10″, he was able to disable GDrive on his account, though clearly that the service was not yet enabled nor there’s any way to enable it.

Now that we can be quite sure that Google’s really going to make GDrive publicly because it’s sure is a helluva lot of work to implement GDrive into Google Apps (Google acquired JotSpot on my 16th B’Day and I am turning 17 soon, see?) and it’s against their motto being so “evil” not to let us use this great service, right?

What’s important to us now is that, as Tony put it, “we’re one more step closer to GDrive being released to everyone…” Yay! :)
