Many users reported that their homepages on google.com/ig have been restored as they were before (happily for me too).
As you might have heard settings of many users were lost - at least temporarily - and many were afraid that they were lost forever.
But Google could minimize the damage and did a very good job on restoring it.

The Google Reader for Personalized Home Page gets a few updates yesterday in reaction to the users’ suggestions, Mihai Parparita posts at the Official Google Reader Blog.
I am still a big fan of the full interface Google Reader. :)
Google made a few updates to the Google Talk Gadget that was released last month. They have added a “Pop out” button at the upper right corner that allows you to open the gadget in a new window, they have also created a button for webmasters/bloggers to put on their website.
Another new feature is that when you paste a Flickr URL, it will turn into a slide show, in addition to Picasa Web Albums and watching YouTube videos.
I still don’t get the point why to place a Google Talk Gadget on a site that the visitors couldn’t communicate with the site owner. Anyways, anyone have luck with the “Call” button? I couldn’t get it working.
WyaWorks has a new widget for Google Personalized Home Page that allows you to create widgets out of it - the “WyaWidget“.
The WyaWorks blog says that you can easily create a Google CRM in 5 steps and be able to share your widget with others. You can update and delete the entries for your widgets using the Creator.

Google has got some special easter eggs in the new themes that they added to Google Home Page today, and that’s one of them.
When you go to Google Personalized Home Page on 3:14 am, and you have chose one of the new themes (except Bus Stop and Classic), you will see something special.
Yes, I have found all the easter eggs 18 days before Easter. Awesome! :)-

Google Personalized Homepage is now more personalized by letting users to choose the themes of the page. Although there are currently only a few selections, but I guess more will come soon and Googe will allow third party themes.
Right now, you can choose between the Classic (original), Beach, Bush Stop, City Scape, Sweet Dreams, Tea House, and Seasonal Scape.
What it means to be dynamic? These themes will change based on the weather (cloudy, foggy, rain …) of your location and the time (8am, midnight, etc…) of it - that is the position of the Sun and Moon. :) Not really accurate though.
