Google Account Plays Dodgeball
Google October 18th, 2006 - By Haochi
Last year, Google bought Dogdeball
, a social networking software provider for mobile devices.[wikipedia] Unlike the Google-YouTube acquisition, quite a few people know Dodgeball is a family member of the ever-expanding Google services.
Well, the dark age for Dodgeball has gone… Yesterday, Chris Messina[via ValleyWag] noticed that Google is integrating Dodgeball accounts with Google accounts. From this moment on, you will need your Google account to sign up. But if you are oldskool, you can still sign in with your Dodgeball account.

I didn’t sign up for the service since it is not available in my city(only 22 cities in the U.S.), but it is showing up on my Google Account page, and the Setting links to “http://cornchip.nyc.corp.google.com:1234/my_phone”… Hey Google, I am not in the Googleplex… Cornchip?

I got the same false link as you, Haochi. However, I don’t care about it, Dodgeball is not available in my country… ^^ But from now, I have a new icon in my “google account” ;)

I don’t care either… It’s not available in my city, but maybe soon. :D
