I cannot believe the rumor is real…. !!! Google just announce that they bought YouTube for $1.65 billion, in stock.

Google Inc. announced today that it has agreed to acquire YouTube, the consumer media company for people to watch and share original videos through a Web experience, for $1.65 billion in a stock-for-stock transaction. Following the acquisition, YouTube will operate independently to preserve its successful brand and passionate community.

I am not dreaming right? The very first thing pop up oin my mind when I saw the title of this Press Release from Google was, “Holy ____”(pick your own word).

As it said in the Press Release, “YouTube will operate independently to preserve its successful brand and passionate community”, that means Google Video will still be Google Video, and YouTube will still be YouTube. Nothing changes, except that you might see “a Google company” or “Google Inc.” at the bottom of YouTube’s pages tomorrow.
