Google Checkout Now Part of AdSense Referral
AdSense, Checkout March 22nd, 2007 - By HaochiGoogle today added Checkout to the AdSense referral program, in addition of AdSense, AdWords, Firefox and Google Packs. The Inside AdSense Blog explains how the the new referral button works:
- You place the Checkout referral button on your site.
- Someone clicks on the button, signs up as a buyer with Google Checkout using a valid U.S. credit card, and completes a purchase of at least $10 before shipping and tax through Checkout within 90 days. (The current $10 minimum purchase corresponds to our existing $10 promotion for new buyers, so this amount may change in the future.)
- You earn $1.
You can use one of the 9 preset buttons from AdSense, one of them is a text link and the rest are image buttons in different formats. I think you can use your own text for the text link, but I am not really sure though.
UPDATE: Apparently you can’t… [thanks Ionut!]

Of course you can’t use your own text link. Google lets you insert a JS code that displays some text. They want to control the message and the way you use the ads.
