Google Maps Shows 2.5D Buildings
Maps April 12th, 2007 - By HaochiGoogle Maps is now displaying some 2.5D buildings in some major U.S. cities after showing the building outlines.
2.5D, short for two-and-a-half dimensional, although technically incorrect, is a term that has become popular to describe a number of different phenomena, most of which are related to computing and especially video games. [Wikipedia]
You should be able to see the contents once you zoom to higher levels.
