Google has added Blog Search’s link to Google News. This is a big step for Google, making it easier to get to Blog Search, which is a 21-character URL (blogsearch.google.com, if you have Google as your default browser search engine, blogsearch would be fine). Consider this, go to Google.com, click on News, and then click on Blog search = 10-character URL + 2 clicks, or go to News.Google.com, and click on Blog search, or, type in the 21-character URL, which one is faster?

None of them is fast, that’s why nobody uses Google’s Blog Search! “Couldn’t Google buy a decent URL? … Google Blogsearch’s competitors, all of which have less-than-perfect URLs, are still shorter and easier. Technorati.com. Bloglines.com. Icerocket.com. Feedster.com. Even ask.com/blogsearch is shorter.” Nathan said.

Google Blog Search is good, I use it all the time(80+%), that’s why it deserves to have a better URL, for people who don’t have “Google as your default browser search engine”. Hehe, I will just type in “blogsearch”, I’m Feeling Lucky! :D
