Google Notebook UI Update
Notebook March 28th, 2007 - By HaochiGoogle’s “not-so-popular” (I assume) online organizer Google Notebook today gets an user interface update.

The new UI is pretty slick, in my opinion, and with better usability than the previous one. You can now also sort the notes by dates and their names with the Sort feature.
I have heard that it increase productivity*, is it true? Maybe I should consider giving it one more chance, starting tomorrow.
*There’s a browser plugin for both Firefox and Internet Explorer, you can download it here.

So you actually think the new interface it better? I thought is was worst redesign ever. The older one was much more enticing to the eye, this one is far more flamboyant and cluttered. It also makes reading notes much more of a hassle. I suppose it might just be me. (I really hope not because I complained about it in Google Notebook groups and to them directly in a general suggestion).

It’s a great service and I don’t understand why It’s not “so popoular”

I also think that the re-design is not so good. It looks much more like other sites in Google but all those buttons distract from the notes.

As for me it is a very useful too, boosting productivity a little bit. What i like a lot is the open-in-docs&spreadsheets-feature wich allows easy PDF exporting. I often use ist to create summarys of websites i’ve read, but i’m still waiting for the Opera version!

Hey the link on the image for “google notebook” points to http://notebook.google.com. It should point to: http://www.google.com/notebook

I have to say that I am not much a Notebook user, as you can tell from the context, so “not-so-popular” is my own opinion (I should have just keep it to myself). And of course, it’s different from people to people.
Thanks Fuber, link fixed. (I don’t know why I have trouble with links lately… hmm…)
