Google Phone: Reality or Fantasy?
Phone August 30th, 2007 - By Haochi
Teo over at Blog About the Web asked a question that I always have in mind, “Will the Google Phone Rumors Ever End?”
Probably not. They’ll end the moment it’s released, when everyone’s going to be talking about it just like the iPhone. Some say it’s called Google Phone, some that it’s called gPhone; some that it’s going to be launched in 2 weeks, some say it’s next year; not to mention that a plethora of relatively detailed pics are starting to emerge, not knowing which is fake and which isn’t.
People are talking about it like it’s for real, what the heck.

Well I do not believe this is gonna be a phone but more a Linux-based mobile OS or may be simply a suite of Google mobile applications, something like Yahoo Go
I do believe something is coming but considering how expensive are phone data communications around the word i’m a bit skeptical about Internet service on a mobile phone…also it’s not like you find free wifi everywhere

And when this stuff is released, here’s the next thing we can talk about:

If the Google phone doesn’t already have it… :)

I think the gPhone won’t compete with the iPhone. I’m sure it will be cool, but I have the feeling Google is thinking about giving them out for free to satisfy it’s advertising market.
Here is a great site which aggregates all iPhone news (rumours at this point) into one place:
