google reader stats

Google Reader now has a feature that let’s you to see your stats on “reading trends” and “subscription trends”. In the “reading trends”, you can find the items you read, starred, shared in the past 30 days, and in “subscription trends”, you can find which blogs update the most and which blogs are inactive.

At the top right, there’s a bar graph showing the items you read, “day by day, over the past 30 days”. At the bottom of the page, you can find the tags for your feeds, “The more items a tag has, the bigger it appears. The more of those items you have read, the darker it is.”

I am not sure if this is available to everyone, since it wasn’t there for me about half of an hour ago, but now it’s there. You can visit the Trends page here, good luck. :)

Here are some of my stats: “From your 91 subscriptions, over the last 30 days you read 4,984 items, starred 9 items, and shared 1 items.”

UPDATE: Looks like Mihai Parparita (the Googler who works on Google Reader) beats me on this one, and that means it should be available to everyone :)

[Thanks Tom, you are the best.]
