Google Soap API is Dead, Almost

On Google SOAP Search API’s home page, Google writes,
As of December 5, 2006, we are no longer actively supporting the SOAP Search API. We encourage you to use the AJAX Search API instead.
The API was launched in April 2002, so does Google Answers(dead). Google News and Google Sets were launched in 2002, are they going to be the next ones?
Google will continue to keep the documentation online, for developers who are already using the SOAP Search API. [via Google Blogoscoped]
