Google has created a Google Talk Gadget for the use on the Personalized Homepage. With the gadget, you can chat on the page with multiple people, and one coolest feature - YouTube video links convert to the actual videos! (see the video above)

Although you can only see up to 4 person at the same time, but if you receive a message from somebody else that are not one of them, a little yellow box will pop up with the person’s name and message.

One problem I have encountered so far is that the contact list keep rearranging, which caused a great inconvenience to me. Well, nothing is perfect.

UPDATE: Found a couple of cool things.

  • Add it to you web page! [thanks Tom!]
  • “Call” function is coming soon - don’t really know when, but the button is there.
  • Using the “Tab” key on the keyboard can switch between tabs
  • The gadget is actually based on Flash, not AJAX - disappointment
