Google.cn Hacked
Google July 1st, 2006 - By Haochi
Ever since (and before) Google.cn’s launch, it has faced alot of difficulties: censorship, rumors about Google will abandon it, and so on.
Last Friday, June 23, Google.cn was hijack by a group of hackers, according to Sina and Sohu. This group of hackers are believe to be a competitor of NET.CN, COM.CN. Net.cn is a Chinese Internet domain registrar, which is handles Google.cn’s DNS information. When users tried to access Google.cn on Friday, it will show up Com.cn’s website instead of Google.cn. The problem was solved on the next afternoon, June 24. MSN China was hacked as well.
