Goooooooooogle

This photo was taken in Google’s Amsterdam office. I forgot what’s the story behind the use of Goooooooooogle on the bottom of result pages (if there’s any), but I think it’s related to googol.

from what i remember each “o” represented a page of results. for example if it said “goooogle” then there were 4 pages of search results. I would love to know if that is true or not.

I think that’s true. Hold your mouse over the different “o”s and you can see that the url changes. “…start=10″, “start=20″.

Not exactly, since there can only be a max of 10 o’s.

From what I can see, each ‘o’ represents a search result page, with 10 being the max number at any moment.
