Hide Your Google Maps Search Result
Google November 20th, 2006 - By HaochiI just love this feature, just love it, I have been longing for it for months… Now you can hide the search results on Google Maps, for both business and direction search results. By clicking the little
between the results and the map, you can hide the results, and by clicking on
, you will get your results back. ;)
Uber conclusion: Hide the results and make the map BIGGER.

That’s great. Windows Live Local has had that for a while, it’s nice to see Google catching up on some of the more simple features.

Well, you can actually close the left panel in Live(it won’t work in Firefox though) and they handle these results differently, or maybe better than the way Google handles it.(one thing Google has advantage in is semi-auto-complete address)

I agree that the clipboard is more useful than the way Google handles results, but I find Live Local to be slow, to handle Firefox poorly and buggy.

I think it depends on a screen size/resolution… People who has 19-21″ don’t care about search results at the left :-)))

You bet, I am on a 19″ and I still care about making every single pixel on my screen useful.
