Search Coming to Google Reader Soon?

Google let’s you to search your emails in Gmail, search photos in Picasa Web Albums, and search documents in Docs & Spreadsheets, but almost two years has passed after its initial launch, Google Reader still lack of a search feature that many users long for, including myself.
Now, Martin Porcheron spot a few rules in Google Reader’s CSS file hinting the search feature probably on its way. (around line 88) The CSS code reveals that the search box will be placed at the right side of the logo.
On a side note, Google Reader today added the Trends link on the pages list, in addition to being the first application that uses Google Gears.

I really long for this simple yet extremely useful function. And you know what, I have always thought there is a search box somewhere and this morning before I read this post, I was searching for the search box that doesn’t exist … Come on Google, you are a *search* engine!

I agree, the search option in Google Reader would be very useful!
I have always thought that the read items (or at least the shared items) should be integrated also in the web history, in order to appear in the history searches. That would be also very nice!
I hope this option will also be added.

.fosk I really like the idea of including subscribed feeds to Web History to complete our online history archive!
