In June, YouTube launched 9 different version of the site targeting different audiences from around the world. Since then, YouTube has added even more localized version, including Hong Kong, Mexico, New Zealand, Taiwan, and the latest addition, Canada.

There’s a comment from the announcement on the YouTube Canada Blog I found quite interesting/amusing.

I think that the localized version will be more emphasize on the videos that the users of that version posted (along with other factors), but people using other versions can still view those videos without going to that particular version of YouTube. After all, they are all under the domain YouTube.com.

Anyways, I just found out that some localized versions of YouTube have their own blogs: YouTube Ireland, YouTube Japan, and YouTube Canada.
