YouTube: Choose a Better Thumbnail Image
YouTube August 7th, 2007 - By HaochiThis is not unusual, you upload your video to YouTube (especially Google Video), everything goes smooth and great, until you found that the thumbnail image is blank/blurry/terrible looking. You can avoid that by doing some clever tricks, but again, most people on YouTube don’t have time/skill to do that.
Now YouTube makes it simple/possible. To change the thumbnail image, just click on the “Edit Video Info” button next to the video you want to make the change in the My Videos page, then choose one of the three YouTube-generated thumbnails to “represent your video in search results and other displays.”
You can’t upload your own thumbnail image yet, but as the proverb says, “something is better than nothing.” :)

Yeah, I hate that you can’t select any point in the video.

@Nana : Try editing the video (perhaps add a 2 sec gap) so three new thumbnails are created.
