YouTube Gets New Embeddable Player

It seems like that YouTube has made the above video player default for embeds. The new player is silver-ish, and the control section is a little bit taller than the previous one in proportion. Also, the “time counter” now displays both the length of the video played and how long the video has left. You can switch by double clicking on the time counter.

Well I must say that this new look embedded player gets my vote, it looks very pleasing to the eye. The new “time counter” is a brilliant idea for many website visitors who are in a rush. I would like to see Youtube bringing some of this functionality into the youtube.com website player. However it is great to see that their focus isn’t just on the main site!

The one thing I want them to improve the most is that position slider. Frustrating!
