Why does Germany and Sweden versions, among many others including China, matter to you?

I am very surprised that there is no german version as well. Simply because german is one of the most used languages on the web. See http://www.internetworldstats.com/stats7.htm

The problem with YouTube in Germay is that the owner of youtube.de (which by law must be a legal person in Germany, currently Google Germany) is liable for the contents under that domain and that there are a few additional laws they must obey. For example, they must ensure that they don’t deliver pornographic material to minors (YouTube’s current “age control” will not suffice). Look at Flickr: They censor all images marked “moderate” or “restricted” on their German site.
I’m sure they are working on that part. As soon Google is sure that their German subsidiary won’t get sued, I’m sure the’ll launch youtube.de

@Justin
I guess it’s because Google Video has a “Deutschland” (Germany) version, and for the Sweden version, hmm, I might be thinking about the Pirate Bay, lol. :)
@Benjamin & John
Yeah, they say that you will be seeing more soon. A few months, probably.
